Walter’s Hot Dogs in the spotlight at ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ filming – The Journal News

Midge Maisel likes hot dogs. Or at least Rachel Brosnahan, the actress who portrays her on the “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” does. But not just any hotdogs.

Brosnahan and the cast and crew of the Amazon series — about 200 people — sampled some Walter’s hot dogs on June 26 when the Westchester-based Walter’s Hot Dog truck catered at a filming for the series at Manhattan’s Carnegie Hall.

The dramedy, now filming its fourth season, centers on a Jewish American housewife in the 1960s who discovers her flair for stand-up comedy. Brosnahan and actor Luke Kirby, who plays Lenny Bruce in the series, were photographed enjoying their hot dogs.

Walter’s co-owner Gene Baca said serving the crew was amazing. “They allowed us to stay and on set and watch them film,” he said. “Rachel Brosnahan and Luke Kirby couldn’t have been more gracious and complimentary as they enjoyed their first Walter’s hog dog.”

According to onlocationvacations, the production shot scenes earlier in the week in White Plains on the grounds of the former Good Counsel School.
