Curators and workmen are putting the finishing touches on the National Comedy Center, which opens here Aug. 1. They are stocking the museum’s two bars, fine-tuning the virtual Jim Gaffigan in the Hologram Theater and making sure that George Carlin’s seven dirty words you can’t say on television are spelled correctly in very big letters.
